Cook your veg. Stir fry your veggies in a pan with a little bit oil. Just 2-3 minutes should do it so that the veggies remain crispy rather than soggy. No sad veggies in this Pad Thai! Add the noodles and other bits of yum. Add your drained rice noodles to the hot pan. Move the noodles to the side and cook the egg.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and prepare the noodles according to the package directions. While the noodles are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Add the cabbage and season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Sauté until tender, about 8 minutes.
Drain water immediately. In a medium sized bowl, mix brown sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, and tamarind puree (or ketchup and rice vinegar). Set the pad Thai sauce aside. Preheat a large pan or a wok to medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of oil, garlic, onion and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute.
Directions. Cook noodles according to package directions. In a large nonstick skillet or wok, stir-fry shrimp in oil until shrimp turn pink; remove and set aside. Add onion and garlic to the pan. Make a well in the center of the onion mixture; add egg. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until egg is completely set. Add the coleslaw mix, green onions
Instructions. In a small bowl, add all ingredients, and stir together until the brown sugar completely dissolves. 3 Tablespoons Fish sauce, 2 Tablespoons Soy sauce, 4 Tablespoons Tamarind paste, 3 Tablespoons Brown sugar. Set sauce aside until the noodles are fully cooked- this sauce does best added at the last minute!
Add garlic, white scallions, and peppers. Cook for 2 minutes as the garlic gets aromatic. Move the veggies to one side of the wok and add the remaining oil in the middle of the wok. Add eggs and scramble them as they start to cook. Next add the cooked noodles, baked tofu, and the Pad Thai Sauce.
Add 2 teaspoons of remaining oil to the wok and stir-fry onion, carrot and snow peas for 2 minutes. Return all chicken to wok. Drain noodles and add to wok along with pad thai paste mixture. Stir-fry for 1 minute, tossing well to coat. Stir in half of the bean sprouts. Set aside in a bowl.
Once hot, add chicken and let cook for 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Transfer to a plate while you cook the vegetables. Heat one tablespoon canola oil over in the same skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and sauté 1 minute. Add carrots and garlic and sauté 1 additional minute.
